We receive a large number of calls for help so there is a chance that we may be delayed getting to you. Time is really not a problem as our dogs can follow wounded animals more than 24 hours after the hit with good scent conditions. It is, however, important that you not complicate the trail with excessive walking. Remember, if you walk in the blood and walk around the site, you are transferring this blood scent everywhere. This will make the track much more difficult for the dog to follow. We can also track after a rain has fallen with little difficulties. If you have made a poor hit and are just unsure what to do, give us a call before attempting the track and we will try and offer suggestion that greatly increase your odds of finding the wounded animal.
